At that time, the CB scheme would only cover power

Requirements for the 'CE' mark are typically determined by Directives
published as an Official Journal (OJ) of the European Union. The directive
you seem to be referring to is the EMC Directive (89/336/EEC). This other

There is no CB mark. The CE marking is required for the EU,
indicating compliance with all applicable EU Directives for the product
involved. This is accepted by the 15 member states and by Norway,
Iceland, Switzerland, and Liechtenstein. Several Eastern European
countries are waiting
