That was a typo, I was doing it right in the actual code. So I tried the
code again today and it's working now. Tool comp must have been left on
and I failed to explicitly turn it off at the beginning of my program.

Pico System's step and direction card. It's more expensive but may be a better
fit for the Gecko drives.

If you are using Stepconf it means that Xylotex microstepping and Stepconf
microstepping don't agree.
