[Emc-users] AC servo driver, Recommendations/advice requested

2017-03-24 Thread hubert
I am looking for recommendations and/or advice for driving a Harmonic-drive-systems FHA-40C-100-E250 Actuator that I will be using as part of the 4th AXIS on my Mill. The motor appears to be about a 1KW unit with max RPM of 3000 and has an encoder that provides 2500 pulses per revolution.

Hi, The centroid is a more extravagant version of what I have here: http://xylotex.netfirms.com/OSCommerce/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=27_id=114 which is $39.00 (no BBB included) A BB Black simply plugs on to the Xylotex BBX (upside down) and provides a standard parallel port type

Yes, of course this has been done before. I was pointing out that it is easy to DIY without a PCB. Easier than using flying jumpers Really it is just a way-oversized "cape" that is upside down laying on it's back On Fri, Mar 24, 2017 at 8:43 AM, andy pugh wrote: > On 24

Yes a Beagle Board and their mechanical mounting system is worth looking at and emulating. They made a larger PCB with pins that mate withe the BB and then turn the BB upside down and pushed it into their PCB.Kind of like treating the BB has a very large chip placed in a socket. I've

Switch on is not a problem for me since the MP7 has an inbuilt centrifugal power switch according to the docs -- spin the probe at 500 rpm for a few seconds to turn on and then spin it again to turn off. I would appreciate any information on your homebrew OMM that you're willing to share. Please
