BTW - the analog out works without the 5v plugged in. - as you can see from
that picture :)

Zip drive cables are awesome for this type of application. They are built
very well and I have not had any noise related issues with them.

I really like the ZIP drive cable in one of the first images. That brings
back memories (pun possibly).
I have the same BOB and Rigol, but neither are getting as much use as
yours. Mark

Here is an image of 100hz pwm modulated with 1hz sin wave. (sent to the
bob and measuring the analog out.

The references I found say mach outputs a 200hz signal. I had tried it
down to 100hz.. With computer driven pwm the resolution of the is base
thread frequency/pwm frequency. So - when I was playing around with a
charge pump at 10khz and base freq of 20khz - you get 0,50% and 100%. 1khz

Provides 5V from the PC side for the isolated connectors. That's pretty
standard in a lot of BoBs. The outputs aren't isolated but they expect the
motor drives to have optical isolation. It's only the inputs that are powered
from the PC side. It's all pre

Granted.. I know these are pretty basic. You can usually find them for
under 10 dollars. They do work quite well though. I was working on some
youtube content and was goofing around with this bob and the printer port.
Setting up a pwmgen to test the analog out unearthed some things..
