I have been fighting with this for several days, tried to recompile
Enlightenment with every input method and toying around with them. But that
makes no difference.
My locale is es_ES@UTF-8, it's been that way since UTF-8 appeared into
scene, can't even remember when. The whole system

I am trying to run e17 in my Pavilion zd8000 on Gentoo Linux, using xorg
server 1.14.3 and mesa 9.2.5. But when I fire up enlightenment_start my
screen shuts off and never turns on again (well, I've waited for a couple
minutes).
