Europython is conspicuously absent from the front page of the python.org
website. Could someone send them information so our call for papers get up
there?

While this is really great news, it raises some new issues.
Traditionally, about one third of the attendees have registered in the Early
Bird, with the cutoff being about 6 weeks before the conference. If we
extrapolate, we may be looking at 400-700 people wanting to attend. The

everyone understands that Europython will not be held there.

This is really cool!
This is the poster for attracting attention and generating a bit of envy.
Python needs more of this sort of stuff.
What you might want is a plain booring poster what Python is and why we are
holding a conference, but don't t change this one. It is complete.
Jacob H
t Python is a programming
language to look into. Today, the market may be more ripe, and it may be
possible to get some local youngsters to join the conference. We should give
them the opportunity to do so by putting in a bit of volunteer work. Students
at this age are constantly strapped for cash.
Nametags are not really a small issue, because after the talks, they are the
second most visible attribute of a conference. Also, they contain a persons
name, which is something that is really important to the wearer.
In any case, I have 3 samples of badges, as well as the ReportLab preppy

small. Anything that doesn't have a clear function and use should be removed.
In Edward Tufte's terminology, there shouldn't be any "chart junk".
