Six Feet Up is having a World Plone Day t-shirt printed that will be
distributed at PyCon in 3 weeks. The Plone Foundation will reimburse people
wearing the t-shirt at PyCon. To take advantage of this special operation,
people need to order their shirt by the end of this *Thursday, February
I'll add my Saturday morning two bits to an already over-constrained problem:
My company has a 9-80 work schedule (9 days, 80 hrs, every-other Friday
off). We miss half the company by having WPD on a Friday. Of course this
doesn't apply to the city as a whole if we expand our ABQ outreach.

I tend to think that scheduling the event so close after the
Conference is putting a lot of pressure on Plone companies already
preparing for the Conference. I would like to see a two month lag in
between the two events.

cat herding just to get the Plone people in my area to go to Plone

Although we are doing the wpd2008 postmorten, we can start to talk about
date for wpd2009.
I believe it is a good idea to keep it one month after PC, but before
december. So, i'd like to propose Friday November 27th as the date for
WPD 2009.
Any comment or suggestion is very welcome.
I, too, am not one who writes press releases and in fact don't have a clear
idea of what the next step is. Hopefully Nate or Mark or someone else
knowledgeable will come to our rescue. :-)
