Is it best to logon with any specific account
I used to have a mailbox on 5.5, then I moved the box to an ex2000 box in
the same site.
When on 5.5, I could see f/b info for users on both 5.5 and 2000, now I
can't see any, and I keep getting popups about the public folder not being
available. The f/b public folder is on one of the 5.5

Anyone got a 4-way exchange 2000 cluster?
I'm looking at 2, to support worst case, 15,000 users each. 3 active/1
passive, 3 Virtual servers per cluster, therefore 5000 users per VS. 100Mb

Is this realistic thinking?

I've just read in a Compaq document that

additional exchange resource groups, you must delete the public folder store

we have a 2-node active/passive exchange 2000 cluster running fine. i can

We are looking at possibly going with 2 x 4-node datacenter clusters to

I've installed it once on a 2 node, I don't recall having any problems like

In our case it would be 10,000 users on a datacenter cluster. Running 3
active/1 passive, we end up with around 3400 users per node.
By the way, I don't consider myself any kind of authority on clustering or
exchange!

Just something I've been thinking about:
Assume 20,000 users. Ignoring storage needs for a moment:
8 boxes of Datacenter give you 2 x 4-node clusters, 6 active, 2 passive,
hosting roughly 3334 users each. (25% hot standby)
8 boxes of Advanced Server give you 4 x 2-node clusters, 4 active, 4
Any thoughts?
mail enable security groups or separate groups, put separate groups in a
single OU, or have a 'DL' OU within our current 'East', 'South', 'Wales
West', 'North Midlands' and 'Ireland' OU's?

If you are running active/active, you should have 3 groups:
In our case - 'Cluster' group, which should contain the quorum disk
resource, cluster network name resource, and cluster ip address
resource.
2 Exchange Virtual Server groups, (EVS1 and EVS2 in our case). Each
contains a disk resource
You can turn off receipt sending at the client end using outlook XP, but
its all or nothing, not recipient specific.
There may be something in the rules wizard, but I've not looked.

An ambiguous SMTP proxy was found on 0x2 mailboxes in the DS. The store cannot map this SMTP proxy to a unique Mailbox GUID.
Anyone know how to determine which 2 mailboxes it means?

We have specified multiple stores in storage groups for our 2000 deployment,
but as yet, we haven't decided who will go where.
If you put all the payroll users on one store, you may get quite a good
single instance ratio, and can set policies for those users, etc, which is
good.
However, if you
ADC in place?
