RE: Keep mail in server
Can you rephrase what you are wanting to do? You don't keep a copy of a mailbox on the server. It's either there, or it isn't. However, you can set up clients to use offline folders, which will download a copy of the contents of their mailbox, or whatever you specify, to a local folder. But as others will probably say, we need more information. Speak up, man! Say exactly what you are trying to accomplish. Specifics. The more the merrier. If by 'useing (sic) Exchange in PST mode' you mean using POP3 to access email, then there still might be a setting on the POP client allowing for a copy of said email to remain on the server. Yes, I know that, Mr. Spellchuk. I'm suggesting to Ben that if James IS using PSTs, you CAN keep a copy of the mailbox on the server. -- Drew Visit http://www.drewncapris.net! Go! Go there now! I know that too. But James was ever so vague in his description of what exactly he wanted to achieve. I know that if you POP your mail, you can set the client to keep a copy on the server. RE: Keep mail in server
Sorry! I'll describe my guestion in detail. The requests of my company are.. 1.We do not allow client users to download their emails and also keep all mails in the server. The users even have no right to delete their own mails. 2.Or,users can download their mails,as company must also have the copies of them. I tried to stop the POP3 instead of using OWA,but users still can delete the mails from their exchange mailboxes. Althought stopped the POP3 cause some problems, they can't receieve their mails of other private mail system. _ List posting FAQ: http://www.swinc.com/resource/exch_faq.htm Archives: http://www.swynk.com/sitesearch/search.asp To unsubscribe: mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Exchange List admin:[EMAIL PROTECTED]

You should implement message journaling to keep a permanent record of all transactions and then let your users manage their own mailboxes the way they feel makes them most productive.
