i was trying to update my machine from 8.0 to 8.2 but both update and update
packages only fail. it complains about fsck error.
which is weird since 8.0 boots fine.
fsck runs if i don't shutdown properly and fixes whatever shows up without
error.
any thoughts?

with user and group ids which are not valid for my system. For example,
ntp-4.1.1-1mdk.src.rpm gives me files with user 427 and group 6011. While

Ok I'll bite - what package reference are people getting the arguments
from? (0x1F0, floppy=daring etc). I would like to find out what they
are before blindly adding arguments to the boot line that I dont
