Or, you could just use the fourth button from the left in the Rich Text Editor toolbar, highlight the URL, and then paste the same URL into the resulting popup. This is a fairly standard feature of Rich Text editors, which figure that people wouldn't be using them if they weren't capable of

That's never been my experience with yahoo email, Alex. I can create hyperlinks only in rich text (I just did a test using plain text and it still does not work). As I said to Judy, the hyperlink used to appear automatically when an http type of address was keyed into yahoo email via the rich text

Might be because you're using an old version of Yahoo Mail. I switched to the new version when it came out a few months ago, and the two test posts I sent via email clearly show what happens when a URL is simply plunked in the message area and sent. The link in the plain text mail was
