Perhaps, but it seems to me that's mainly emotional.
The reason probably is that my impulsiveness led
me to invest nearly 20K Euros in some high-risk shares,
and it looks like that company is gonna be bankrupt within
a couple of months.

[FairfieldLife] Re: Educating Barry, Shemp, and MDixon

2006-09-10 Thread TurquoiseB
People who are trying actively to control what
others are allowed to read and see on TV are
censors, whatever they call themselves.

You were trying to change what the American
people were allowed to see, to make it more
what YOU wanted them to see. (Judy's first
"suggestion," which she backed off from when
we pointed out that it was censorship PER SE,
was that the film be yanked off the air until
after the elections and then shown ONLY on pay
TV.)

That not only makes you a censor, it makes you
EXACTLY like the Bushies you rail against on this
forum. You're a censor. Live with it, hypocrite.

[FairfieldLife] Re: This is a time like none other in history.

2006-09-10 Thread nablus108
Question: Is a third world war imminent — what with the conflict in
the Middle East?
Benjamin Creme: No, it is not. If we were in a situation which was
so `hot' – it is very `hot' at present – that World War Three was
inevitable, Maitreya would intervene.
It is better that He does not have to intervene because it would
infringe human free will. But if it were necessary, He would
intervene. In that case, He would be restricted in what He can give
to humanity for quite some time, until our karma allowed Him to give
what He can give. If He used that karmic gift, as it were, to prevent
a third world war, it would hinder Him from doing things that He
otherwise would do.

The Masters, with a broader vision, know that eventually things will
clarify and peace will be established. They know, as Maitreya says,
that the end is known from the beginning. Have no fear. That does not
mean sit still and do nothing. That is the point.
You have to be inspired to act. He says: "Nothing happens by itself.
Man must act and implement his will." People, full of idealism, think
that if you can envisage something, it already exists; that if you
know that God is perfect, then the world is perfect. You cannot shut
your eyes to all the ills in the world. It is foolish. It is not
adult. Be adult and face the ills of the world and do something about
them. You have to act to implement your will. If you want peace,
justice, sharing and right relationship, you have to do it. Make it
known that you want it. Elect the right people to get it. Act. Become
active. Otherwise, you live in the clouds.

This is a time like none other in history. It will not be repeated.
The Hierarchy of Masters is returning to the world for the first time
in 98,000 years. You have the opportunity to work for Them, to make
easier the work of Maitreya, to light the way, to make known to the
world that He is here. Don't wait till Maitreya comes out in the
open. Tell everybody who will listen that He is here, what His plans
are, what His priorities are – right relationship, sharing, justice,
peace – these are the priorities. Looking after the planet is a
number one priority. You have to make these your own, not just listen
to someone like me.

We all have to become involved and to tell the world what is
happening in the world, that this is the most amazing time, there has
never been a time in the history of the world like this time. To be
alive at this time is an extraordinary blessing.
With all the pain and the suffering in the world the opportunity for
humanity is immense.

Gee, how territle it must have been that millions saw it, eh Judy?

Because, unlike you, people can't think for themselves and they

One main factor can be attributed to the winning of WW2:

1. The Soviet Union. The madman Stalin didn't give a shit for human
life, particularly those of his own countrymen. So, through the
principle of attrition, he threw as many Russians at the Germans as
possible and, eventually, they drove the Germans right back to
Berlin. Of course, it cost 20 million Soviet lives...

Lol, so that is why FFl is so quiet. They are all tuned in to TV.
Thankfully I do not have or want a TV. ---I am watching the Lord of
the Rings for the second time - boy, despite the cliches and bad
segways, it is SO much more descriptive of what is going on right now
in reality - you know, with all the orcs, and especially the Balrog.
That is the THING that crawled out of the bowels of the earth on
9/11.
Do any of you remember that the night after 9/11 was a localised
thunderstorm over ground zero - short and localised??...and out of
place.
The Balrog that came from the bowels of the earth that day. It is the
reason there was so much FEAR in the country for years after, and it
is the dark power behind the automaton Bush et al. It came up from
ground zero and started walking about the Earth...but now it is being
defeated, and the negative forces are being absorbed back to the
shadow.
The time is now. It is not the dark time now that Maharishi is
pretending it is. This is the time of the enlightened awakening. The
Free...The Liberated...The Liberal (that last just for the annoyance
of Dixon)

ROFL !
This has got to get into the next South Park or whatever the

[FairfieldLife] Educating Barry, Shemp, and MDixon

2006-09-10 Thread authfriend
The three of you have claimed that those
who have called on ABC to fix the falsehoods
in "Path to 9/11" or cancel the broadcast
are advocating "censorship."

That is appallingly ignorant, and a
misconception that is actually dangerous
to free speech.

Censorship is when some authority--usually
a governing body--*requires* an entity to
remove material it finds offensive and has
the power to enforce its order.

In the case of this film, the only authority
with the power to order the removal of the
material and enforce that order is ABC.

If the material were to be removed or the
showing canceled, it would be at ABC's behest,
because it had been persuaded that showing
the film as it is and as scheduled would not
serve the public interest.

To refer to expressions of the opinion that
ABC *should* remove the material as
"censorship" is an attempt to intimidate those
who hold such opinions into not expressing them,
and is therefore itself an assault on free
speech.

Just as ABC has the right to show the film,
members of the public have the right to say
they believe ABC *should not* show the film.

That is not "censorship" in any way, shape,
or form. That, in fact, is free speech.

[FairfieldLife] Re: The problem with "Path to 9/11"

2006-09-10 Thread authfriend
Well, believe it or not, I fell asleep partway
through and missed about an hour of it. I'd
be surprised if they don't measure a huge drop
in viewers after the first hour. The film is
not well paced at all.

The worst misrepresentation--the scene where
Sandy Berger refuses to order the takedown of
Osama bin Laden--was edited a bit toward the
end, but hardly enough to change the scene's
impact.

In fact, they never got anywhere near close
enough to bin Laden to kill him, nor did
Berger ever refuse to authorize any operation
against him.

It didn't appear to me that the scene with
Madeleine Albright (with her name still
misspelled) defending her warning of the
Pakistanis was changed at all.

In fact, she never warned the Pakistanis of
the missile strike on bin Laden, and the
meeting in the scene never took place.
The film's misrepresentation is that her
warning to Pakistan allowed Pakistan to
warn bin Laden in time for him to escape.

All the other misrepresentational scenes that
have been pointed out were still in the film.

One I haven't seen discussed involved an aide
to George Tenet busting into a meeting her
boss is holding after the embassy bombings and
hysterically accusing him of responsibility for
the bombings, on the basis that he hadn't given
Berger the authority to kill bin Laden when he
had the chance (i.e., the wholly invented scene
described above, which never occurred--neither
the chance to take bin Laden down nor, of
course, Berger's refusal to approve it).

One particularly nasty touch: the famous clip
of Clinton saying "I did not have sexual
relations with that woman" is immediately
followed by a shot of the Washington Monument.

Clinton is repeatedly portrayed as being unable
to properly pursue al Qaeda because he is
distracted by the Lewinsky matter, another
right-wing invention.

The film is reasonably well produced, but it's
a truly filthy piece of right-wing propaganda
that deserves every bit of the vilification
that has been directed at it. The disclaimer
is a joke; it reads like a bit of legalese
ABC added as a prudent afterthought to what is
essentially a truthful presentation, which, of
course, it is not.

[FairfieldLife] The path to 9/11 and other myths.

2006-09-10 Thread off_world_beings
The path to 9/11 and other myths.

All I heard about this is that it is not historically accurate, and
historians have asked for it to be pulled, and that it was
orchestrated by some right wing shennanigans in Holywood

It would not surprise me that it is not accurate. The Americans made
a film in the '90s about a British sub that captured the German code
Enigma machine and the Brits kept it secret for years during the
war. Most US ships would have been sunk in the Atlantic by the U-
boats if it were not for this capture. However, in the movie it was
portrayed as an American sub captured it. So one of the most
important parts of WW2 was made to be an American victory, and the
whole war was portryed that way.

Four main factors can be attributed to the winning of WW2:
1. Montgomery's defeat of Rommels tank divisions in northern Africa.
2. The Battle of Britain - a long air battle - Brits agains Germans -
won by the Brits with the mass of the German Luftwafe being
destroyed.
3. The invention of radar during the war - a British invention.
4. The capture of the Enigma machine - by the Brits.

Once all this hard stuff had been done and the war had essentially
been won, the Americans came in with their grunts.

Finally, another illusion Americans are under is that they beat the
Brits in their "War of Independence". Not true. The Brits, instead
of fighting the US, focused on a more important enemy - the French,
Spanish, and Dutch were all at full-on war against Britain in
Europe. Brtain won that war and gave the colonies to the
landgrabbers in the US. Twelve years or so later...the Brits
thrashed the Americans when the US tried to invade Canada.

Now the right wingers are trying to re-write the 9/11 story. What a
ridiculouos country. No wonder everyone laughs at the USA.

Clinton isn't the one we should be focused on, re 911.

Consider:
* The President's now infamous August 6, 2001, intelligence briefing
warned that Osama bin Laden was seeking to hijack aircraft. The
White House at first claimed that there was no indication that the
attacks would be on American soil. Later, it was revealed that the
briefing was titled "Bin Laden determined to strike in the U.S.

* According to the Sunday Herald, "Britain gave President Bush a
categorical warning to expect multiple airline hijackings by the al-
Qaeda network a month before the September 11 attacks…" British
intelligence had previously warned of attacks using aircraft in
Washington DC and New York.

* According to Newsweek, a classified report by a joint
Congressional inquiry found that the CIA had warned the white House
just over a month before the attacks that Osama bin Laden was about
to launch a terrorist strike "in the coming weeks." Agency officials
warned: "The attack will be spectacular and designed to inflict mass
casualties against U.S. facilities or interests. Attack preparations
have been made. Attack will occur with little or no warning."

* According to the British Independent, "Weeks before the terrorist
attacks on 11 September, the United States and the United Nations
ignored warnings from a secret Taliban emissary that Osama bin Laden
was planning a huge attack on American soil. The warnings were
delivered by an aide of Wakil Ahmed Muttawakil, the Taliban Foreign
Minister at the time, who was known to be deeply unhappy with the
foreign militants in Afghanistan, including Arabs."

* The New York Times reported that Egyptian intelligence had warned
U.S. intelligence a week before the attack that Al Qaeda "was in
advance stages of executing significant operation against American
targets" based on intelligence from a secret agent in close contact
with Bin Laden.

* The Telegraph of London reported that "two senior experts with
Mossad, the Israeli military intelligence service, were sent to
Washington in August [of 2001] to alert the CIA and FBI to the
existence" of a terror cell inside the U.S. and warned "that large-
scale terrorist attacks on highly visible targets on the American
mainland were imminent."

* James Ridgeway reported in the Village Voice that both Russian and
Jordanian intelligence had warned of pending attacks in the U.S.
during the summer of 2001; both warnings were specifically
of "suicide pilots" training for attacks on U.S. soil.

* Journalist William Rivers Pitt reported that during the summer of
2001: "The German intelligence service, BND, warned American and
Israeli agencies that terrorists were planning to hijack commercial
aircraft and use them as weapons to attack important American
targets."

* Military intelligence officials claim they had identified 9/11
ringleader Mohammed Atta and three other 9/11 hi-jackers well before
the attack (others have disputed the claim).

* James Ridgeway reported that U.S. intelligence officials had
ignored French intelligence's warnings about Zacarias Moussaoui, an
Algerian believed to have been planning to accompany the hi-
jackings.

* FBI agents in Minnesota had launched an investigation into
Moussaoui, but their information was ignored by Washington.
Just think about that on Monday. Katrina is always held up as the
best evidence of this administration's great, avoidable disaster,
but the truth is that 9/11 should never have happened.

Can't watch and write at the same time, sorry. If I
see anything that looks wrong that hasn't already been
pointed out, I'll try to remember to make a note of it
afterward. I'm no expert on the details of what led
up to 9/11 in any case.

There's plenty of stuff on the Web that nails the
inaccuracies (including a compendium from a New
Zealander, where the film has already been telecast).

Accuracy aside, ABC's '9/11' deserves to bomb

September 8, 2006

BY DOUG ELFMAN TELEVISION CRITIC

I once sat in a car forever waiting for my mom to come out of a grocery store. I thought that was the definition of "interminable." I had no idea "The Path to 9/11" was in my future.

This is what happens during 4 1/2 log hours of "Path." Terrorists talk about killing Americans for Allah. FBI and other security officials try to track them but fail. 9/11 happens.

You don't say.

This is the most anticlimactic, tension-free movie in the history of terrorist TV.

[FairfieldLife] How long does it take to backpeedal on a promise?

2006-09-10 Thread hermandan0
This just out from MUM development office. Note the penultimate
paragraph where it says yogic flying scholarships "may" be available.

Interesting that it says the M, when "thinking what he himself could
do", "will ask the wealthy of America to support" the flyers. Plus ça
change ...

Where they could really make money is on the training program that
will be offered to teach everyone how to make a full-time salary in
just two hours a day.

Amazing

...Still dreamin' I'm sleeping in Rosie's bed...

*** Begin message from MUM Development Office Sunday Sept. 10 ***

URGENT REQUIREMENT FOR NATIONAL INVINCIBILITY

2,000 Yogic Flyers required in Fairfield permanently Maharishi has
felt and has seen from watching world events that the numbers in the
Golden Domes are declining - placing at risk the momentum of
invincibility we have created so far. He is very concerned about this.
He feels we must have 2,000 Yogic Flyers permanently flying together
in Fairfield and Maharishi Vedic City to create invincibility for
America and sustain the momentum for peace in the world. In thinking
what he himself could do, Maharishi said he will ask the wealthy of
America to support Fairfield Yogic Flyers with scholarships of $500
per month. This scholarship support will cover basic living expenses
(room, board, and some spending money) and is intended for people who
would not be able to do long program because they need to return to
full-time jobs to support themselves, as well as people from outside
of Fairfield who can come and would need this support to be here.

By Monday we would like to have a list of at least 500 people who can
spend 8 hours day in program on a permanent basis (at least one year).

To sign up to be one of the Yogic Flyers on this program, please add
your name to the lists in the Golden Domes or email your name and
contact information to [EMAIL PROTECTED]

Everyone in Fairfield and Maharishi Vedic City is invited to open
their homes to people from out of town. They will receive $200 per
month for providing a room to a Yogic Flyer (from the $500 for living
expenses). If you have a room to rent or need a room, please email
[EMAIL PROTECTED]

Maharishi said that people would have two hours a day for activity. A
training program will be organized in which people will gain skills in
how to support themselves working two hours a day.

Several Center Invincibility Courses to train new Yogic Flyers will be
held this fall, with the first one starting next week. Scholarship
support for these courses may be available, and everyone is encouraged
to apply regardless of their finances at this time.

The Yogic Flying groups in Fairfield and Maharishi Vedic City have
been reporting beautiful experiences of higher states of consciousness
- and as a side-effect we have seen heartening developments in
national and world news. This is a critical time and a tremendous
opportunity for all of us. We cannot afford to fall back from what we
have accomplished so far. We need to sustain and build upon what we
have created over these past weeks - and create true and lasting
invincibility for our nation and peace for our world family.

...As recently as an Aug. 21 news conference, President Bush said
people should "imagine a world in which you had Saddam Hussein" with
the capacity to make weapons of mass destruction and "who had
relations with Zarqawi."

Democrats singled out CIA Director George Tenet, saying that during a
private meeting in July Tenet told the panel that the White House
pressured him and that he agreed to back up the administration's case
for war despite his own agents' doubts about the intelligence it was
based on.

"Tenet admitted to the Intelligence Committee that the policymakers
wanted him to 'say something about not being inconsistent with what
the president had said,'" Intelligence Committee member Carl Levin, D-
Mich., told reporters Friday.

Tenet also told the committee that complying had been "the wrong
thing to do," according to Levin

Not intentionally. But then he wouldn't have
pressured Tenet to tell him what he wanted to
hear, either.

Actually, if Tenet was just telling Bush what he wanted to hear he wouldn't have

the State of the Union speech, which Bush then quoted British intel instead of

I was actually referring to the hate and anger you were displaying
to anyone who disagreed with you, American or not.

Sure looked like it to me, but I'll take your word
for it that isn't what you meant.

However both Tenet and subsequent directors,Goss and Hayden,
> have dealt with a well entrenched CIA that has been in place for
> many years through various administrations. Just because one
> changes the director of the CIA doesn't mean you have changed
> the CIA.

But nobody suggested the CIA had changed. The
point was that they were right all along. They
told Tenet there was no evidence of WMD; Tenet
decided to play kissy-face with Bush anyway. He
told Bush what he wanted to hear.

And he's been well rewarded for it with that
nice Medal of Freedom he got after he retired.

Lawson's point was that the report on what the
CIA said before the invasion was *put out by the
Senate Republicans*, even though it reflects
horrendously negatively on the administration.

Whether the CIA changes or not over administrations
was completely irrelevant. That's why I
misunderstood you, because what you claim to have
been saying didn't make any sense.

I think there have been “learn TM free” campaigns in local areas, like Washington DC, directed at students, but there wasn’t much response. I think there was some stipulation that they mediate regularly for a certain period of time. I don’t know how that was to be enforced.

vitriol ?

I suppose you are an american ?!

I have less anger and hate. What I see is a great nation going down
because of karma, collective fate. To point that out has meager
value. I choose to do so because it is a sad thing. The USA was
always a dream for poor europeans in the last century. In fact we
love America, but the developments in your foreign policy during the
last years has made many vary. Now you drag our military, more
supportive of UN operations, more and more into your silly operations
in Afghanistan and Iraq. The truth is my friend; all thinking
europeans are getting quite fed up with the american goverment, with
american policy and american culture.

It is an interesting development; is is as if the american government
have made themselves uninteresting. Americanism is not interesting
any more, it is boring though dangerous. There are a great people
there; but they do nothing, they do not act. They are modern slaves
to capitalism.

"The next to go is capitalism." - Maharishi, 1989

Do my thoughts contribute to world peace ? I hope so.

Actually, I think that's how the DC and MUM courses will actually turn
a profit. Donations covering the participants fees. That seems to be
the new model - foundations, donations (and real estate) I have a
hard time believing that the TMO would actually use it's own resources

Now, THAT'S a great idea!

But wouldn't that put alot of the TM teachers working outside the
TMO out of business?

And wouldn't that be bad for the economy?

[FairfieldLife] Isn't this exciting?

2006-09-10 Thread shempmcgurk
I've always thought that the whole concept of Netflix is neat.

Soon, Netflix may become obsolete; if I understand this article
correctly, if I want a particular film, I'll just download it via my
computer and high-speed internet. Then, once it's in my computer,
I'll just burn it onto a DVD via my DVD burner, take the disc to my
DVD player in the living room and watch it on my TV.

Oh, brave new world...

-

Apple set to start film download site
By Aline van Duyn in New York

Published: September 10 2006 20:30 | Last updated: September 10 2006
20:30

Apple Computer, whose iPod personal music player and iTunes digital
music store dominate the legal music downloads business, is this
week expected to unveil a service for downloading films.

Although the company is maintaining its usual silence, Apple has
sent out invitations, marked "It's Showtime", for an event in San
Francisco on Tuesday.

A move by Apple into digital film downloads would be another step
towards a showdown for dominance among big internet's companies in
what is expected to be a huge market one day.

Last week, Amazon.com joined the rush with the announcement of its
Unbox service, which will allow consumers to download thousands of
television shows and films. Google, Time Warner's AOL, News Corp
divisions, including MySpace, studio-backed ventures such as
MovieLink and smaller internet players such as video-sharing site
Guba all sell or plan to sell films via the web.

Thomas McInerney, chief executive of Guba, said: "Video is the new
motif for the internet and there are already thousands of video
sites. There is probably only room for a limited number of players
and the dominant ones are likely to be established in the next six
to 12 months."

The question is whether Apple will be a trigger for wider usage of
digital film services.

So far, the availability of films for viewing on computers or
portable devices has made little impact when compared with the
market for selling and renting physical DVDs – worth more than $20bn
a year in the US alone and dominated by large retailers,
particularly Wal-Mart.

High-speed broadband internet connections make it easier to download
films although most are illegally copied versions through file-
sharing networks.

Indeed, an internet search for "movie downloads" brings up a
plethora of websites offering such services. Yet the paucity of
guidance about which ones are legal downloads, which provide illegal
versions of films, as well as confusion about whether sites are
fronts for credit card frauds or other dodgy operations, makes many
people hesitate to use them.

The high pricing on legitimate digital sites is another issue.
Pricing is generally the same as for physical DVDs, reflecting
concerns among retailers that they are not undercut. Amazon, for
example, offers physical DVDs for less than some of its digital
versions, even though consumers are not able to burn digital films
on to blank DVDs.

Richard Greenfield, analyst at Pali Research, said: "Restrictions on
use should drive a cheaper price to the consumer, not the same or
higher pricing. The studios need to accelerate the attractiveness of
digital delivery to prevent illegal [networks] from capturing too
much market share."

anybody other than Tenet called the case for WMD's a slam dunk. However both
Tenet and subsequent directors,Goss and Hayden, have dealt with a well
entrenched CIA that has been in place for many years through various

you have changed the CIA.

2006-09-10 Thread authfriend
>From the Providence (RI) Journal:

The two-part, five-hour ABC special airing Sunday and Monday at 8 p.m.
on Channels 5 and 6 is compelling and confounding, gripping and
disturbing. And it's all completely true. The program, which gives TV
docudramas a good name, is based on the 9/11 Commission Report, which
was published in 2004.

All the details are documented. All the characters are real; so are the
events, unfortunately.

http://tinyurl.com/fb5nh

And the Journal isn't even a conservative newspaper.

If a major newspaper can't tell fact from fiction,
how the general public possibly be expected to
do so?

[FairfieldLife] GCP/EGG Update, Sept. 8, 2006

2006-09-10 Thread Patrick Gillam
Does anyone here get Roger Nelson's periodic email updates?
He's the Princeton researcher into collective consciousness.
His recent email mentioned a number of organizations
readers here may find interesting, such as The Society for
Scientific Exploration, which Nelson says stretches the
boundaries of what is accepted as science.

Other links include a Life Force Summit and a
Hitchhiker's Guide to Awakening.

Here are the relevant paragraphs:

--

In England, Lefty and I traveled with a group interested in crop circles,
but we also visited Avebury and Stonehenge. Avebury is a remarkable
place, one of the largest and oldest of the stone circles. I was there
collecting Field REG data, and also participated in a large meditation
event that was coordinated and synchronized with groups around the world.
In two visits to the part of Avebury prepared for the event, the REG data
showed significant deviations, and GCP data collected during the same time
showed a non-significant positive trend. A brief report is linked from
the results table at http://noosphere.princeton.edu/results.html. It is
event number 220. I must say that although I do have a science-oriented
attitude, the real measure of this ancient center is in a more personal
response: I loved it there.

The GCP has decided to go ahead with an idea that has been discussed for
a long time, namely to collect at least two, and maybe as many as five
trials per second instead of one. This will allow some new analytical
work that bears on mechanism, and also gives an opportunity to keep some
data sequestered for comparitive analysis 6 months or a year later,
enabling a new level of testing for reliability and assessment of a
special class of theoretical models. This work will depend
on a successful proposal for new funding,
so your positive regard is most welcome.

One of my favorite organizations is the SSE, which I recommend you
consider joining to help support the only general forum for scientific
topics that stretch the boundaries of what is accepted as science. The
website is www.scientificexploration.org. It fosters creative, out-of-the
box thinking. For example, a few days ago I received a description of the
"Life Force Summit", which is the work of SSE members. The summit will
bring together people who intend to do something practical and direct
about making a positive future. The website is www.life-force-summit.com.

The list of groups working with such intent could be long, but we are
most of us already linked into organizations and possiblities that give
us a place to put our energies. A consolidation giving meta-access to
life-affirming efforts of this kind called the "Hitchiker's Guide to
Awakening" is under construction at www.universal-awakening.org.

Be well, and as you have extra time and energy, give it to the future.

Best, Roger

Actually, I'd be happier if they ran it as is, as
scheduled, and had a detailed rebuttal afterward.

No, you were well aware that enough information
about it from those who *have* seen it--including
transcripts of dialogue--have been made public
to know that it's seriously misrepresentational.

No, I'm against violating anybody's freedoms.

[FairfieldLife] Re: Back to the Domes

2006-09-10 Thread feste37
And don't forget "Miracle Month," in April 1986, when dome numbers
averaged 2,100 in the morning and 2,300 in the evening, and that was
without the boost of out-of-towners on a course. That was the best
superradiance achievement ever for this community. It was helped by the fact
that local businesses chipped in and offered modest prizes for perfect
attendance. It's amazing what people will do for some free ice cream.

Can you spell Mothers and Fathers Indian Association? The
Shrivastavas would never part with a rupee that wasn't in their best
interests and butt bouncing is stupid, they can see that. No percent
of anything changes much or there wouldn't have been a murder at MUM!
If MUM can't prevent 1 murder, then no amount of Butt Bouncing is
going to do anything other than cause sore Butts ... well, I'm
slightly wrong there because the foam industry is going to benefit
and I am sure the Shrivastavas have invested in just the kind that
only Maheshites buy.

I kind of got into the TMO with the implicit understanding that
organisations like this attract nutcases and fringe elements and
that was just par for the course.

However, because of MMY's emphasis on scientific research, no belief
involved and all that, I figured TM and the TMO were the exception.

You are obviously quoting MMY here, Nablus.

Can't you think for yourself instead of being the obvious cult
member that you are?

I'm obsessed with the Movement because it held the best hope for the
world. And it got -- unnecessarily -- fucked up.

I believe in discussing the causes and effects of what fucked it up.

Don't you?

[FairfieldLife] Benjaim Creme on worlds affairs

2006-09-10 Thread nablus108

Questions & Answers

Q. What kind of future do you see for America within the next couple
of decades?
A. If enough people accept quickly the changes that Maitreya will be
calling for, we can transform life in America and the rest of the
world very soon. Once the idea of sharing, and justice engages the
imagination, when people see the simple common sense of sharing,
creating justice and therefore peace as the only way to create peace
and an end of terrorism and war, then millions will join the ranks
around Maitreya.
You have no idea how eloquent Maitreya is, how simple and
knowledgeable, with a mind which is razor sharp and can illumine
every problem. His love and wisdom are endless, the love of God and
the wisdom of all the ages. His ability to enter into the hearts of
all and release His energy of love is the sword which He wields to
change the world. The Sword of Cleavage is the energy of Love.
As people respond to this energy the world will be divided – those
who are clamouring for change along the lines Maitreya is advocating,
and those who are fearful and looking to the past, who see Him as the
Antichrist, are fearful and do not know what to do. They will stand
aside and watch the events, and so lose the opportunity presented,
for the first time in history, to take part in the transformation of
the world. It is up to each individual, from where he or she stands,
to assert their divinity.
Maitreya is speaking about sharing, justice, freedom and about right
relationship. They are all divine principles. Freedom, justice and
right relationship are at the basis of life and make for correct
relationship between peoples and between nation and nation.
It is competition that leads to war and prevents right human
relationship from evolving. The creation of correct human
relationship is the next step forward in our evolution. When you have
that you have the beginning of true divine life. The first step into
sharing, says Maitreya, is the first step into your divinity. What
could be simpler or truer?

Q. Is a third world war imminent — what with the conflict in the
Middle East?
A. No, it is not. If we were in a situation which was so `hot' – it
is very `hot' at present – that World War Three was inevitable,
Maitreya would intervene.

Q. Who won the election in Mexico?
A. Strangely enough, it was an almost completely free and fair
election, unlike the last two elections in the United States – the
last one being the most corrupt, I think, that has ever taken place
in a modern state.
You must make sure that you do not have another election like that.
Do not stand for it. The voting ma

Oh, come now, Shemp: the TM Nazi isn't an equal-opportunity fascist,
just an ordinary one trying to put the fun in fundamentalism.

Well, there IS a remote chance that Maharishi has
finally realized that at this point the only way
he can get people interested in learning the siddhis
is to give the course away, and the only way he can
get them interested in doing them in a group is to
pay them to do so.

Hi, Rick. This is either satire or a scam. Surely the Shrivastavas
can see through the nonsense of Mahesh's butt bouncing. They aren't
going to part with any money. While the "Last Message" thing is
silly, it's more truthful than the Shrivastavas parting with money.

Yes. Indeed, they did a special documentary of how they tracked her
down and what had happened to her over the past decade or so.

Yes, her eyes were just as intense but I found that she aged much
faster than I expected (not surprising given the history of civil
war etc. that she had to endure).

What?

You mean you've only seen 30 minutes of a 5 hour film?

Yet you not only pontificate about it but seek to PREVENT people
from seeing it (oh, of course, you'll say that you just want to
prevent them from seeing it BEFORE the election)?

By the way you were talking about it, I was sure that you had seen
the entire thing.

Well, at least you're an equal-opportunity fascist: you're for
violating freedom for yourself as well as for others.

To my knowledge, the desired attendance totals have seldom been reached, although in some cases they have been, most notably the Taste of Utopia course, where 7,000 was the goal and over 8,000 were flying together on some days. That was very profound.

Would this be the same friend who told about the promised $2000/month
salaries to all the recertified govs? And maybe he's a relative of the
same friend who also said Vedic City would include a world-famous

Anyone still believing this crapola has some serious growing up to do.

Actually, as of this moment, I've probably seen more
of the film than anyone else on this forum and much
of the general public, about 30 minutes' worth.

Six five-minute clips from the film are up at
RedState.org (a right wingnut site):

http://www.redstate.com/911clips

I just watched them all. The site says they're
from the *unedited* version--"The Video Democrats
DON'T WANT YOU TO SEE." They include the scene
where Sandy Berger won't agree to taking down
bin Laden, and the one in which Madeleine Albright
(whose name they misspell!) defends her warning
to the Pakistanis about the missiles being fired
over their airspace at Sudan.

Both scenes, according to the principals, are
complete fabrications.

The audio, unfortunately, is out of synch with the
video in all the clips, which makes it a little hard
to follow what's going on.

But what they're intended to convey couldn't be
clearer.

Not thinking of Fairfield spesifically. In times of trouble, when
