Hillary's outfit reminded me of Dr. Evil from the Austin Powers' movies or the
source element, Dr. No.

Trumped reminded me of the Mormon toddler next door who is always getting time
outs for misbehavior.

My favorite line today from the pundits is from Keith Olberman saying Trump is
working on his book today "My Struggle". Almost choked on my Starbucks Pike

trump is probably referring to this, openly published the day before the 3rd

"preparing". What a goofball.

"The third and final presidential debate is about to take place at the
University of Nevada, Las Vegas. What should we expect the candidates to
discuss this time around? What are the topics?

Wednesday’s debate will consist of six topics: debt and entitlements,
immigration, the economy, the Supreme Court, foreign hot spots, and fitness to
be president, according to the Commission on Presidential Debates

Rates of Change. The calculus of aging in TM..

Some of what we can see in these lists is a natural aging-out of the Post-War
Cohort, of the people who were early with Maharishi in the very early SRM
movement, the Walter Koch and Charlie Lutes generation of TM.

Now what we are seeing in TM is an accelerating rate of attrition to aging-out
of the Boomer I and Boomer II’s. Interestingly, the cusp time period where the
Boomers I and Boomers II met was the time frame where TM took off in popular
(college undergrad, grad student, professor-age) culture for a time. A lot of
the TM movement intake happened in those years 1968-76, over the cusp of the
Boomers I and II.

You can see this particular cusp in the age span of meditators in the Dome or
at campus meetings of the TM community now. The WWII generation is pretty much
gone from the ranks of TM now. The Post-War Cohort are pretty gone or
geriatric now and the Boomers I are increasingly shuffling or gone on. Boomers
II are increasingly ‘in diminish’. Time is short regardless.

 Post-War Cohort
 Born: 1928-1945
 Coming of Age: 1946-1963
 Age in 2004: 59 to 76
 Current Population: 41 million (declining)

Boomers I or The Baby Boomers
 Born: 1946-1954
 Coming of Age: 1963-1972
 Age in 2004: 50-58
 Current Population: 33 million

 Boomers II or Generation Jones
 Born: 1955-1965
 Coming of Age: 1973-1983
 Age in 2004: 39 to 49
 Current Population: 49 million

For a long time the Baby Boomers were defined as those born between 1945 and
1964. That would make the generation huge (71 million) and encompass people who
were 20 years apart in age. It didn't compute to have those born in 1964
compared with those born in 1946.

A perfect picture - the contrast could not have been greater. This was the most
enjoyable debate for me to watch. Orange D exhibited uncommon restraint and the
ability to sometimes speak coherently. Really on top of his game...as a 14 year
old, going on 71. Not impressive, but the best I have seen him do. His little
interruptions were kind of cute, pursing his lips, and almost whispering into
the mic, "...not true...not true...".

Hillary really showed that she is willing and capable to be president. I was
happy to see her draw some sharp policy differences, and really dig deep to
show all of us what she will be capable of. Thoughtful, clear and strong. Chris
Wallace did a great job as moderator too, completely professional, staying on
point and on time.

[FairfieldLife] Stephen Colbert

2016-10-20 Thread awoelfleba...@yahoo.com [FairfieldLife]
Last night, after the debate:

Slams Trump’s refusal to say he’d accept election results.
Once again, Stephen Colbert hosted a live edition of The Late Show on CBS
http://fortune.com/fortune500/cbs-203/ last night in order to get the first
crack at cracking jokes about the final presidential debate.
“We just witnessed the third and final presidential debate, because two is not
enough and I think four would make us go cannibal,” Colbert said to kick off
his opening monologue.
Following Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump’s last debate face-off, Colbert hit
the air with instant reactions and analysis to some of the biggest moments of
the evening. That certainly included Trump’s refusal
http://fortune.com/2016/10/19/donald-trump-debate-election-results-video/ to
promise that he will accept the results of the election on Nov. 8, no matter
who wins. “I will keep you in suspense,” Trump told the debate moderator, Fox
News’ Chris Wallace
http://fortune.com/2016/10/19/presidential-debate-chris-wallace/.

“Oh, Suspense!” Colbert cried in mock excitement. “Democracy is going to end
with a cliffhanger! I guess we’re all going to have to wait until November 9 to
see if we still have a democracy, to see if Donald Trump is in the moodfor a
peaceful transfer of power, or if he’s going to wipe his fat ass with the
Constitution.”

Colbert mocked Trump’s innuendo that the elections might be “rigged,” noting
Trump also claimed the Emmys are rigged
http://time.com/4537809/donald-trump-emmy-awards-debate/ in 2012

(The Television Academy has denied that.) Holding his two Emmys, Colbert said,
“You know, Donald, you really should get one. They’re fantastic… I think this
year he might get one. If Trump lost to The Amazing Race, this year, it could
go to the amazing racist.”

She did great. Can you imagine how hard it is to stand on a stage with this
stooge Trump and attempt to make sense of what he rambles on about - especially
when he gets into those areas (like foreign policy) that he knows nothing
about? The guy is either rambling or he is making shit up. Somehow she finds
the perfect balance between looking poised and calm, albeit a tad amused at
times without the arrogance, and still being able to find a way to bring the
debate around to issues and sense. It is a fine rope to walk.

Rates of Change. The calculus of aging in TM..

Some of what we can see in these lists is a natural aging-out of the Post-War
Cohort, of the people who were early with Maharishi in the very early SRM
movement, the Walter Koch and Charlie Lutes generation of TM.

Now what we are seeing in TM is an accelerating rate of attrition to aging-out
of the Boomer I and Boomer II’s. Interestingly, the cusp time period where the
Boomers I and Boomers II met was the time frame where TM took off in popular
(college undergrad, grad student, professor-age) culture for a time. A lot of
the TM movement intake happened in those years 1968-76, over the cusp of the
Boomers I and II.

You can see this particular cusp in the age span of meditators in the Dome or
at campus meetings of the TM community now. The WWII generation is pretty much
gone from the ranks of TM now. The Post-War Cohort are pretty gone or
geriatric now and the Boomers I are increasingly shuffling or gone on. Boomers
II are increasingly ‘in diminish’. Time is short regardless.

 Post-War Cohort
 Born: 1928-1945
 Coming of Age: 1946-1963
 Age in 2004: 59 to 76
 Current Population: 41 million (declining)

Boomers I or The Baby Boomers
 Born: 1946-1954
 Coming of Age: 1963-1972
 Age in 2004: 50-58
 Current Population: 33 million

 Boomers II or Generation Jones
 Born: 1955-1965
 Coming of Age: 1973-1983
 Age in 2004: 39 to 49
 Current Population: 49 million

For a long time the Baby Boomers were defined as those born between 1945 and
1964. That would make the generation huge (71 million) and encompass people who
were 20 years apart in age. It didn't compute to have those born in 1964
compared with those born in 1946.
