[FairfieldLife] Re: New study confirms effects of TM group practice at MVU Cambodia between 1993 and 2008

When you consider that the Fairfield demographics are not representative of
small towns in Iowa or the USA in general, the stats are not impressive. What
percentage of Fairfield's population is TMers or New Age folk? Hardly the sort
that have criminal tendencies to begin with. It's a shame that TM got into
this whole scientific proof gamesmanship. I taught TM and residences courses
for 33 years. Although I put a lot of emphasis on scientific research in my
lectures, I'd guess that maybe 10% started for that reason. For almost
everyone, it was because a friend of family member suggested TM or they had a
good vibe from the lecturer. And the price and scientific approach actually
turned a lot of people off who might have otherwise started. Of course this
has been debated ad nauseam. I sincerely wish you well in your goal of
becoming a TM teacher.

While the positive effect of meditation practice on health and well being is
become statistical truth by the replication of studies I could suspect that the
more recent data on Fairfield could become ambivalent given the smaller number
of people meditating in Fairfield compared to earlier times and an increasing
ambient scourge of poverty with addictive drug and recreational marijuana usage
in the general area, like other places now.

This piece of news may not be as shocking as you may think. Specifically, Pope
Francis has recently stated that religious pluralism is now accepted by the
Catholic Church, although there is conservative portion of the church who may
not agree. IOW, yoga and TM are acceptable practices for Catholics.

[FairfieldLife] Re: Fwd: Know anyone with a smart meter? Valuable testing is available

2019-05-27 Thread dhamiltony...@yahoo.com [FairfieldLife]
Smart Meters, campus communities, the meditating community.

 FW: A Summary..
 A Long story short:

 Excerpting..
“Alliant’s (Smart Meter) few signals per day are not of great health concern.
All other regional utilities other than Alliant and PECO in PA use a mesh
network for SMs, in which the meters signal to one another 100,000-190,000
signals/day. Alliant does not use a mesh system, but instead uses a hub and
spokes system (point to point), in which each meter transmits directly to a
tower. No mesh maintenance signals are involved. Alliant's planned opt out
meter, Itron's Centron C1S, is health acceptable. tracking down the specific
digital meter Alliant planned to use for an opt out meter, Itron's Centron C1S
..to test and disassemble Alliant's planned digital opt out meter, and he found
no 'SMPS' and zero DE on radio static tests and GS tests (without the 'SMPS'
component, digital and smart meters cannot and do not create significant or
measurable dirty electricity (DE). ‘SMPS’ stands for ‘Switch/ing Mode Power
Supply,’ which converts AC power to DC power. SMPS is the only cause of
significant DE in a utility meter. So for practical purposes, no SMPS = no DE.
Almost all digital meters have SMPS and therefore DE. But the Centron C1S is an
exception. So it is in the same health risk category as a little $5 digital
clock. It has vastly less health risk than using a cell phone, even if the cell
phone is held at a distance on speaker phone (holding the cell phone at a
distance reduces the radiation only 10-30%, the other 70-90% radiation conducts
up the arm to the brain and central nervous system). So statements that this
C1S is dangerous, life-threatening are not true. Statements that all digital
meters are dangerous are not true.

Conclusion: Yes, it is good to opt out, but Alliant SMs are not dangerous
enough to worry about or strain relationships with anyone. We are here to
create coherence, not to involve ourselves in scientifically unwarranted claims.
But there is no guarantee that Alliant will use and continue to use that opt
out meter, perhaps partly because the intervenors did not strongly pursue
adding safe technical parameters for the opt out meter in the hearing,”

Know anyone with a smart meter? Valuable testing is available Smart meters
are needed soon for testing

In the ongoing effort to determine if smart meters are safe, Jay Marcus,
Attorney is seeking to contact Alliant customers who are currently using a
smart meter. We are specifically looking for smart meter customers who live in
each of the Fairfield communities, including Utopia Park and Maharishi Vedic
City. However, any Alliant customer in Iowa would be helpful.

How you can be of help

We are asking you to contact your friends, neighbors or work associates who
have smart meters to ask if they would be willing to allow for the testing of
their meters to determine the safety of their units. If they choose to
participate, we will ask them to sign a simple consent form. The testing,
depending on the orders of the Iowa Utilities Board, will be sometime in the
next few months, and will not cost them anything. No one will enter their
home, they do not have to be at home or do anything to allow for the testing.
The testing will take but a few minutes so it is possible that they may not
know that the test was actually done, and the results of each individual test
will not be identified as coming from their meter or be made public in any way.

The goal of this test is not to convince anyone to opt out

The purpose of the test is NOT to convince the customer that they should opt
out, but the customer can ask for the results of the test if they want. By
participating in this test they are not acting in support of Fairfield Safe
Meters or Alliant, neither will they become involved in the hearings or
activities of the Iowa Utility Board.

Your help is needed right away

If you know of anyone who might accept the testing, please send this email to
them. We'd appreciate as many responses to this email as soon as possible.
Thank you for your support!

Those ready to participate in the test will get useful information about their
own meter and also help determine how the community can best deal with the
situation.

To Consent: Those who consent can either sign, scan and email me the consent
form, or simply email me with their name and address and say that they
authorize me to sign the consent for them. To participate they must be the
owner of the residence or a renter who pays the utility bill.
Thanks.
