Just so you'll know: Barn cats are held in high esteem in the cat

I hope AJ got to go visit Pepper. I have always
thought that it gives them more strenght to endure
what they are going through. It lets them know they
haven't been forgotten and are still loved. My
prayers are with AJ and Pepper.

Hi guys,
Well, last night I had a humiliating experience with
our geriatric kitty, Julie, who has hyperthyroidism
and is on meds for that. After I got off work, I sat
down on the couch to eat dinner around 9 pm. Julie

I am so sorry to hear that you lost Lil Rascal

way he behaved before he passed. I know that you and

Yes, we just adopted a new kitten on Monday, who of
course, we are giving a lot of attention to. I am
trying to give Julie the usual attention as well, but
I guess it isn't enough. What you say makes sense,
but to a human, it just seems so senseless! Thanks

Belinda,
I hope that the insurance situation is alleviated. I
think you are eligible to sign up for Cobra up to 8
weeks after your insurance is terminated, but don't
quote me on that date. If you are, then get it,
although you might have to back pay a little on Cobra,
which might cover those

I'm so glad that AJ went to visit Pepper. One of my

she gets to come home to him soon!
Isn't this group just wonderful? If it weren't for
some people here, Pepper might still be looking for
and missing AJ and be more stressed out!
I agree with Precious Pets. It absolutely sounds like she was marking

behavior. She showered you with urine to get you to shower her with

Hi guys,
Is it possible that if one cat has a UTI, that the
other two in the household could have UTI's as well?
Can they catch a UTI from the litterbox that a cat
with UTI uses? Also, what are the symptoms of chronic
CRF? What do you consider long term antibiotic
therapy for a UTI if it
Usually when they back up and spray it does mean marking. I had a
male cat of mine years ago mark my boots one day while I was sitting on
the couch.

Wendy,
No I thought about it but I decided I just wanted to get it over with, I have
researched all the different options and with the one other that only involves
minor surgery by just removing the affected areas, if they don't get it all I
may end up getting the hysterectomy anyway and I
PS. Got the cobra thing all squared away and the HR department talked
the insurance into letting them cover us for this month so that is
hopefully no longer an issue.

Unfortuneatly I have experienced this. When my husband and I first moved

was sleeping. I finally figured out what was wrong- she felt she
