It's wonderful to hear Ember is doing well. That was such a scary
episode with her anemia symptoms. I have long suspected that FIO might
be useful in treating kitties when they first contract the disease to
fight it off. Unfortunately, we don't have the research to prove or
disprove that.
Thanks for the heads up Lance. I'm going to forward it to the woman
that helped me with Gypsy's homeopathic regime.

I was really surprised. He's seen 40 or 50 of my rescue cats over the
last year or so and never wanted to adopt one before. I was shocked.

Hey Lance,
I tend to be in agreement with Nina. Listen to your
heart and gut.
If it were me, I would be hesitant to do anything
differently if my kitty were asymptomatic. Can your
vet put off ordering the VO or order it for other
client's symptomatic kitties to see how it works?

That says good things about you too Kelley. He
probably wouldn't adopt from someone he didn't trust.

What about a single source protein, like turkey or chicken, and a separate

Mine average one such meal a day and two meals of commercial catfood. Wish
turkey was as cheap yearround as it is around Thanksgiving. I could afford to
increase the shredded deboned turkey and decrease the catfood.

They're the same thing. FIO is feline interferon omega (the generic
name) and VO is Virbagen Omega, Virbac's trade name for FIO. VO (or
FIO) is feline-specific interferon. Many of us here give low-dose
human interferon to our FeLV cats. While it would seem that this

Well Cassidy has to go to Best Friends soon after May 1st. They can't wait
until July 1st for me to get a second IFA, but they said they'd keep him
apart from the other FeLV cats if there was any doubt as to his status. But,
I wonder what they consider doubt. I'd hate to expose him and he turns up
