Bailey had bad stomastisis and also ended up with pancreatitis,
his symptoms started with lethargy and not eating very much, he didn't
cry out but was very uncomfortable when I fed him (he had a feeding tube
because he ate nothing on his own). He even ran from me one time when

Did Hobbs have his teeth pulled?? If the dental didn't work with
some cats the only relief is having all *but* their canines and the tiny
teeth in between them pulled. This is what we ended up doing with
Bailey, he was fine after that and got to be a little pudgy even until
the anemia and
Here is a link on how to Texas AM GI lab on how to handle the blood sample if
the vet is not familiar with the protocol for a fPLI test.

As I understand it the test costs approx $100, the cat must fast for 12 hrs

My prayers are with you. When Junior crashed that was it his body was
shutting down that fast. He was having breathing issues and possible
congestive heart failure. He did have a murmur. I do not think he was in
pain.

ah, i'm sorry to hear about hobbs: i think your question is impossible for
any of us to answer because we can't know if he's crashing because of FeLV
complications, or something else--only the vet can answer that one
probably by the time you read this, they'll be home, but a question i've
I'm so sorry to read that Hobbs is crashing. I haven't had to deal with that
yet. What you are describing sounds a lot like an acute pancreatitis attack.
Pancreatitis can only be dx by a special blood test fPLI done at TAMU or maybe
by an ultra sound if it is done by an experienced person.
Frankie's pancreatitis is controlled by eating lite canned food.

Heather,
I have pulled 2 back that were very sick. I later lost one though when she
got so bad I felt her quality of life was so poor that I should let her go.
Only the cat's mom can really make the decision. Is the cat easy to medicate?
stressed by the vet? etc these kinds of
