Lynne, I'm so sorry you and Frodo are going through this. I understand your fear and frustration. I don't know enough about his condition to advise you about what to expect from treatment. It seems to me the question you posed to the group is what you should ask the vet. What do they

What is this kitten eating? Getting them off of dry and onto one type of protein usually helps. Probiotics are a good idea too. Switching my IBD kitty, Gypsy, to a raw diet pulled her from death's door. Gypsy was stealing Gracie's food when I was trying anything I could think of to get her

This poor lady. Everyone has options. Just because a vet tells you something does not make it so. I can think of only a couple of times you have to surrender an animal and those times involve vicious animals involved in attacks on people. - Original Message - From: [EMAIL PROTECTED]

Three suggestions: Report the matter to the state vet association--not the local one. Contact the Texas version of the Attorney General's Office Comsumer Protection Division (cats are property in most places-ok we know better but the law doesn't). Find out who, in the local media, is a pet

Right, it's a hard lesson. But I can understand - people do put so much - too much - trust in vets and organizations that provide care for pets. It's too bad we can't hold vets/orgs. accountable in some way. Very sad. Gloria On Oct 19, 2005, at 3:52 AM, maimaipg wrote: This poor lady.

Tell her to contact her local media and see if they are interested in doing a story. Organizations that want to play GOD need to be reported, especially ones that received most of their funding from animals lovers. As far as I know the HSUS does not recommend automatically euthaization

The way I read it was that she was told she HAD to give the cat up, not that they recommended it. If I read it correctly the HSUS needs to be notified also. Any way you look at it, the cat got a bum deal and so did her person. - Original Message - From: Belinda Sauro [EMAIL PROTECTED]
