Everyone I have ever seen has left them in the trap overnight - in fact
you are required to bring them to the low cost spay neuter clinic in
traps, so I have no advice on this. They do get trap
easier to see what was going on.
Good luck! Let us know how it goes when you get a moment.

prop the door open and put food in the trap. It's always worked for me.

I've always heard that you shouldn't leave a trapped cat for more than a
couple hours. I usually withdrew all food by 6pm and then got up around 3 or
4am to set the traps. (I had to arrive

It is one thing to trap a cat, transport it in the trap to a safe, sheltered
place (in my case a closed garage with a towel, blanket etc over

Well, I would still take the kitty to the vet who does the test in the trap.
The vet people can deal with that better than you or I.

Just got some dark tuna and will try that. Problem is that shelter won't
take them unless I have FELV test done—I didn't argue thought it makes my
blood boil. Sooo, I have to find someone to do the test and that may
require overnight

Is there any 'trick' to transferring from trap to large dog kennel? If for
example, I trapped one tonight, I'd have to keep her overnight
