Do they make diapers for cats? I know this is so frustrating. I don't have
every single night problems, but mostly I do have problems on my sofas. I keep
the beds and the sofas covered with 1 (on the bottom) a plastic waterproof
matress cover, (2) next I put a cloth waterproof (fabric quilted to the
plastic), then (3) my sheets. If no one piddles on them I just change out the
sheets. If someone does I can take off the top two layers and relayer without
the urine soaking through the sofa cushions or the bed.

Hi Sherry, quick question...has she had an ultrasound of her bladder? Our
Will Feral was recently dx'd with idiopathic interstitial cystitis (blood
in
urine off and on, peeing on the floor, straining at times, normal urine ph,
no evidence of crystals, no infection, nothing on xray). He gets dasuquin
and amitryptaline, still having problems. We finally had an ultrasound
done and it showed grit in his bladder, so first dx was wrong, it
is
actually the beginning of some type of stones. He doesn't seem to be
incontinent in his sleep or while sitting, so maybe your girl has something
else...but I think the ultrasound was worthwhile for us.

There are pads that are washable (disposable is too expensive) that
are used under people in nursing homes/hospitals. I bought a bunch of
these when a most loved dog was having similar problems because of a
terminal illness. I am lucky enough to have a washer and dryer
available but these pads made life much easier. That may be what you
have on the end of your bed. I am told there are similar pads for
changing babies.

Blessings to both of you.

See if you can find a holistic vet. There may be some supplements you
can use. Somewhere I read had cosaquin stregthens bladder
muscles.I have no personal knowledge but am a big fan of holistic
medicines, especially when the regular vets are out of ideas. There
are nice mattress pads that have a vinyl back (I just put one on my
bed from K-Mart because of the kittens--ferals are not as easily
trained as I would like :). Also there are pads dogs can
wearwonder if she would wear them?

My Tucson has this annoying little habit of peeing in not so great
places--usually, its cause she's mad at somebody or somebody annoyed her
when she was heading for the litter box or the moon is high or whatever!
But once, the vet found she had clogged anal sacs and he said that might
cause her problems...
