is there anyone in southwest Michigan who would like to adopt a very sweet
all black female sprayed kitty cat
1. Chewie - unsure of age - probably 7-9. She was
diagnosed right around the time she died - about a
month ago now.
2. Stitch - 2.5 - tested positive for FelV after we
had her tested shortly after Chewie died.

in his life, as far as I know he was only tested once and that was at 4
My Ethan was diagnosed (SNAP) + when he was rescued as a baby. Needless
to say, he would have been PTS immediately by rescuing. shelter, so I took
him. My original intention was to place him in shelter I was involved with,
since we are No-Kill, and house both Felv FIV babiesHowever,

I know all too well what those poor babies are feeling - being in
captivity. And I didn't mean to put them down using the term nasty. Sorry,
my
mistake. It's not their fault at all But, bless them, being trapped

Baby boy Taz was diagnosed with FELV strong positive at 4 months and
retested at 6 months. Results were the same.
He lived to the age of two and a half years old when he passed with
secondary illness. Tumors on the skull and left eye.
He lived with my other negative cats and they have
Would like to add that I got Taz when he was 5 weeks old. He was the only
surviving kitten from a litter that was brought in to a kill shelter.
So there was a lot of exposure to my other kitties.
The other kitties that have passed after Taz died did not die of Felv.

Hey Patti, I think that's great that you have a way with the ferals-I've
never encountered any, but I just had a friend commit to helping me catch and
release this summer, pending I find funding for the spays/neuters. I'm going to
contact the nearest

I can't tell you how old Dixie is. She has been a house cat for appx 2
years with me. She was a throw away who hung out at my Mom's for 3-4 months
before she was diagnosed and became a house cat. She was full grown and had
been spayed. I don't know if this is any help or not. General
Tomi and Kisa are both about 2.5 years old. I found them when they were
approximately 2-3 months old.
They were both diagnosed with FeLV five weeks ago. My guess is that one of
them had the virus before we took them in, and gave it to the other one
since they spend so much time together.
Cassidy: about 1 year old, diagnosed last week (when rescued) with Elisa
test still waiting on results from IFA test. Will retest in 3 months.

Angel Alice - captured at 6 weeks, tested positve Elisa and IFA at 7 weeks,

Cricket, who passed away in Nov. of 2005, was 4.5
years old. He was diagnosed at 2.5 years, when he
developed an infection unrelated to the FeLV, but I
did not take the diagnosis seriously until he got sick
in September of 2005. It's a long story, but
basically I thought he had a false positive
Timmy and Sweet Pea diagnosed at about 4 months (litter mates) Timmy went to
the bridge at 9 months and Sweet Pea at 11 months. Smudge diagnosed at
about a year (not confirmed by IFA test) lived with Timmy and Sweet Pea from
the time they were about 5 months. Smudge tested negative at 2 1/2.
