Since 2001, I've had 9 FELV+ kitties (I have to list them: Calawalla
Banana Booboo, Mittens Mr. Black Kitty, Dallas, Houston, Felicity,
Chloe, Oliver, B.B.).
The first 5 are now dead, all but one died at age 2.5-3 years. Actually
I never know how

My heart goes out to you Heather. You are such a kind and compassionate
person-it's so frustrating to run into people who aren't understanding or
who are downright cruel. I live in Nebraska, and my home is full (with 5
negative kitties), but if I can think of any way to help you, I'll let you

In my area there are no kill shelters and Allie Cat
Advocates that sometimes have spay/neuter days and, at other times, have vets
that will do s/n at a discount. I don't know if any of these would be able
to help or not. ACA is nationwide from what I can tell. And it
doesn't hurt to ask.
Karen,
I would have never experienced the joys of watching an entire litter
grow up together if they hadn't had felv. It was a wonderful
experience. Kittens do get diarrhea, but I would worry if it doesn't
clear up quick. I can't believe what you've already been through!

Karen,
Tell them you took their advice and had them all humanely pts! If
you've been paying for the vet bills, they're not going to be any help
with the neuter costs anyway.

Hi Karen,
So sorry you are going through this kind of crap with the humane society. Just make me sick to my stomach.
It sounds to me if they can make profit off the kittens or cats that's hunky dory. But when need something done like medical treatment they tend to give the cold shoulder and

Hi Lori,
Where are you located. I have to say that I really don't know that
much about kittens who test positive so young that is 'good' news.
However, I'm forwarding this to my leukemia list and hope someone has
Hi Lori,
Well I'm in Georgia, so I doubt I'll be much help in placing them. :(
I thought you might have got my email from one of the GA rescue groups
I'm on.
I think there's a chance that if they were just recently exposed they
could fight off the felv. If they were born with it passed to
