Have you tried giving him a little l-lysine? If he's having a problem
smelling his food (one reason that he may not want to eat), then lysine
might help clear up anything sinus-wise (and maybe even eye-wise) so
that he can smell his food again!
That said, you may want to try anything
I have found that mine like Gerbers better than Beechnut, probably because it is junkier!

Also try the liver shake, posted recently. Cirpiheptidine, also called something else I can not remember, is an appetite stimulant that works very well with some cats. And if he really is not eating, I would syringe feed him some to get food into him. It often jump starts their appetite too,
