Hi list, Looking for ideas on what to do with my old 24'' iMac. Back in November the hard drive failed and I replaced it to finish a project. When the new iMacs came out earlier this year I upgraded. This used to bug me till I discovered that hitting Option-1 brings up the dialog box where you can enter any values you want. The good news, though, is that it seems to default to 3 eighths in the space of 2, so all you have to do is hit Enter or OK and you're ready to go. Doug On Mar 29, 20

Easiest way is to enter an eighth note triplet first - that's what Finale uses to define the triplet value, then use the arrow key to put the cursor back over the eighth note you just entered and make it a quarter note. Finale still believes (correctly) that the value is three eighths in the sp

Thanks for the suggestion but I didn't get a chance to try it. This morning I opened the file, clicked to open the mixer and there it was in the middle of the screen where it should have been. I don't even know if it was re-starting Finale or re-starting the computer that put it right but thanks
