Yeah, I forgot about that limitation in Finale, and I wish they’d do something about it. What you have to do to make things easier for you is to lay out each example your want to import into your new document on its own page. Save the Finale file under a new name to keep your old formatted on

I have done this many times in the past. And you’re right, trying to do it in Finale is a complete waste of time and effort. I used InDesign but any good writer should work. I exported examples from Finale as a tif and then imported into the final doc. A while back you could also export as
