It failed to register on me as well that EXPORT was under discussion, rather
than import.
Export is what it is. The interpretation is on the IMPORT end.

i have barely worked with MIDI, need some extracts from a larger
score to send to a studio to use. the person running the studio
session doesn't have finale, the composer (who will be in the studio)
doesn't know MIDI at all (not that i know much more...) and of course
all of this is thrown
How about more settingsminimize number of rests ?

was checked originally, and it didn't work... although i changed a
number of settings since then.
