Craig,
My experience with Finale is that you can skip a year or two of upgrades
without
losing very much. Every once in a while, there is a feature that everyone
talks
about that becomes a must have, but not very often. I did wait from '07 to
'12 for my latest update and don't feel that I've
Every once in a while, I experience what I call playback hangover: a note that
doesn't cut off at the end of it's alloted time.
I use Finale '12 with midi playback.
Can anyone tell me how to avoid (or correct) this problem?

Hey David,
With your suggestion, I sat down with Mark's opus (Finale 2012 A Trailblazer
Guide) in hand
to learn how to use the Score Manager.
There is no item in the table of contents about the SM so I looked in the
index.
There are 3 citations there, but they only talk about the SM to solve

Yes, that must be a problem. I find even 32nd notes to scrunch up so they are
impossible to read until you finish the measure.
Help, anybody?

How do you clear phantom playback notes. When playing back a short
experiment, I hear phantom notes. That is notes are played that are
not in the current score.
I presume they are leftovers from previous note selections,
but they have nothing to do with the current chart.

I've used the app that allows an "internal" repeat sign many times. It is quite
flexible. Don't bother with trying to move a regular repeat sign. You might get
it to work, but why bother when the answer is so easy.
