Hello,
I no longer have my iBook so I would be unable to
maintain SWI Prolog's Fink package any longer.
I have already received a query about the package
being out of date - if anyone would like to step in
and take it over, I'd be really grateful.

I think we need a policy for how to handle packages which are abandoned by
their maintainers. I propose this:
1) Change the maintainer field to
Maintainer: The Fink Project <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
We can add "formerly maintained by..." to DescPackaging if it seems
appropriate.
2
In regards to former Maintainers I'm in the process of adding a new field
and new command to fink for a changelog, witha specific format. Once it's
done we can add when a pkg has changed maintainers in that field.

Title: Cdrtools install fail
Listees,
I am such a newbie that it is not even funny, but I did try and test the cdrtools package installer. It failed, I’m sorry to say, and I’m not quite sure what to do next.

Just a note, I've just committed a new version of the QT info file that
updates it to 3.0.4, and also fixes some bugs. The most important one
it fixes is the compatibility_version, which was being set to 0.0.0,
even though the filenames were named correctly.

I've run into trouble figuring out an upgrade strategy for pairs of packages
when converting them to splitoff form. There are two pairs already in
unstable: freetype/freetype-hinting and giflib/libungif. There is a third
one in the shared-libraries/splitoff module: gnome-vfs/gnome-vfs-ssl.

updating all the pkgs will also force a rebuild on all of them to avoid
any issues as RangerRick (Ben) had previously mentioned.
