i have tried several things to get an imap deamon to run on the
Panther build to no avail. The issues seems to be based on an
authentication method that has changed.
I would like to know if anyone on this list has had success in
getting any imap deamon to actually authenticate users on Panther
I had an error in building doxygen-1.3.2-1. A snippet of its out is
attached.
My Fink version:
Package manager version: 0.13.3
Distribution version: 0.5.3.cvs
I'm running 10.2.6 on PowerBook G4, 867MHz. I don't have the recent
Developer Tools update installed.
Thanks,

Hi,
I was trying to update scipy-py22 when I got the following error:

I have seen the files

/sw/fink/10.2/unstable/main/finkinfo/languages/g77-3.3-20030714.info
has anybody a wise word of advice about this, in relation with the latest
troubles with g77? Fed
Federico: g77-3.3-20030714 fixes the latest problems with the new
assembler and fortran but including it's own private assembler.

Andrea: The URL is fixed in CVS, fink selfupdate-cvs (but you may have
to wait a day for the backup server to update).
The correct URL is
ftp://ftp.cdc.noaa.gov/Public/jsw/fink/scipy-20030629.tar.gz.

What version of ghostcript do you have, since that's what seems to be
causing the issue? It built on my system with ghostscript 8.

this time is run fink selfupdate-cvs: the package maintainer has
fixed the problem.

OK. By any chance do you have another version of ghostscript installed
elsewhere, such as in /usr/local ?

No. My /usr/local directory is relatively clean. Only Python-2.3b2
stuff is installed in there now.
Thanks,

OK. I was wondering because I've had my PATH get ignored by an
application that used ghostscript.
Since all of the errors appear to involve
/sw/share/ghostscript/8.00/lib/gs_btokn.ps , it may be that the file
has become corrupt. Maybe fink reinstall ghostcript will take care
of it.

hello all
i'm doing a 'fink install evolution' from the unstable tree.
after picking some options for dependencies, things compile for a
while. ;-)
well, then i get this message:
gcc -DHAVE_CONFIG_H -I. -I. -I. -I. -I. -I/sw/include -Wall -g -O2 -c
Try this:
sudo ranlib /sw/lib/libintl.a
then try the install again.

Ok: this looks like you selected xfree86 by accident instead of
system-xfree86 at one of the prompts. Try installing evolution again,
and make sure to select system-xfree86.
