Would it do any good to ignore the 2 warning lines carry on?
Do you have unstable/crypto in your Trees line in /sw/etc/fink.conf?
This seems

I want to try and install emboss under 10.3. It's in the
current-10.2-gcc3.3 tree in stable and unstable, but not in the 10.3
tree. I have a vague idea that I need to copy .info and .patch files
from sourceforge.

I'd appreciate any help with this. I'm about to just give up on SSL support

Hi Alexander, sorry for my late reply
If you still have the gtk+ build directory under /sw/src, go into it and
check the config.log file to try to get some more information about what
happened.
I do, but I didn't get so wise. It complains that a .dylib is not
prebound. In /sw/lib I find

I'm running 10.3 (fresh install)
Gerben Wieda's TeX i-installer installs xdvik along with tetex,
ghostscript, and lots of other goodies:

I really appreciate what the fink developers are doing, but there is

Will installing QT-mac do bad things to fink? Is it possible for Fink's
X-11 QT to live beside the Mac version? Is it possible to get Fink to
use the mac version (I'm assuming this is, at least for the moment, a
no).
Thanks

Hi again fink-users - here's my next problem installing bundle-gnome
(unstable). It installs gnome-games but whilst setting up gnome-games
I get some problems as pasted below. Any suggestions? David.
bzip2 -dc /sw/src/gnome-games-1.4.0.4.tar.bz2 | /sw/bin/tar -xvf -
gnome-games-1.4.0.4/
OK well answering my own question here. I just re-ran fink install
bundle-gnome and fink removed db4, installed previously installed db3
and now it has configured OK. Output below:
fungus:~ orlovich$ fink install bundle-gnome
/usr/bin/sudo /sw/bin/fink install bundle-gnome
