Is that behavior intentional?
Hm, no... not sure what happened, but it seems to have decided to stop
working. :P
I'll look into it.

can work around this somehow in the KDE package, but
expect other cups-related stuff to mysteriously fail to compile too. :P

f77 will never work on intel from what I've heard, you're supposed to use g95
or gfortran instead (I'm not a fortran person, so I don't understand the
details, bbut it's been discussed a lot on the list)
KDE is available on intel already, just not in the binary dist (yet).

, without much success.)
KDE's sound on OSX has always been rather dubious. The only way to get
it to work at all is through the esound aRts plugin, and even then, it
seems to be rather prone to race conditions.

Using Tomcat but need to do more? Need to support

Does anybody else have any ideas about solving this problem?
instead of LDFLAGS=, try LIBS=-lintl
but ultimately, if you have things overwriting apple system files in
/usr/lib, you're going to have to eventually clean it up; these types of
things tend to compound on one

Another solution would be to run everything on a case-sensitive file
system, which would un-confuse dyld also.
Or, I could fix the jython package to use DYLD_FALLBACK_LIBRARY_PATH
instead. :) Didn't realize it was setting that.

As for mplayer, word is that it is
not possible to compile it on Panther with QuickTime 7.1.x, period.
So is it recommended that a Fink user on Panther go no higher than
QuickTime 7.0? I suspect that may be why i can't get sdl to
compile on my system.
On a
can see if I can get it updated.

you'd have a -lX11 and such in that command-line.
What happens if you fink reinstall xorg xorg-shlibs? Does it spit out
errors?
