Gcc is no longer involved at the point when you're running the a.out; that's just a regular execut able, like gcc itself. You probably just don't have '.' (current working directory) in your PATH, which is in general a good thing, security-wise. Try running it by typing "./a.out" instead of just

Well I just finished a bootstrap of 10.2-gcc3.3 from fink 1.5.1-beta and the fink install of g77 still results in the same compile failure. Well hopefully enough of 10.3 will be present next week to try another bootstrap once I upgrade my G5 to Panther and its devtools.

Hi Bill, You do not need the August 2003 developer tools update with g77 3.4. However, you should not use the assembler provided with the Dec2002 dev.tools. There is a fink package 'as' which will provide a suitable assembler. If that doesn't cure your problem, post some more information why t

I am trying to compile some code that needs to be compiled with g77. I have done this one two machines both running the latest g77 from fink and am now trying it on a third machine. All machines are running 10.2.2. On the latest machine, however, the compilation stops with: [g4-hy:ifeffit_1.
