I have a degree in Electronics, Music & Media Technology, which had
some programming, but mainly assembler & C related to electronic stuff.

Watch out for the "jump" - you are usually allowed to upgrade from 2
versions older for the cheaper price, but then anything outside that
costs the full price of the package, or the expensive upgrade (MX - CS3,
etc)
