This is useful information. DirectX for audio sucks. I have had mine

CAT in MixW says I am in FSK mode.
That's due to the CAT code not being current with the updated console

Bob,
If I am not mistaken, when I select digiU mode, shouldn't the CAT tell MixW
to go into USB mode? There are a lot of ASFK modes that are not PSK so
forcing digiU to put the digital mode program into PSK is a real restrictive
condition.
The USB CAT command is supported by MixW because I can
Title: While I am on a roll with Preview 7
I am noticing a lot of popping noises in the received audio in both digiU and USB mode. I checked this out with another receiver and the pops are not heard on it.
I tried changing buffer settings but nothing seems to eliminate the random popping.
I have seen the BSD's but I have been having other flakes. So, this is
related to VAC? Please let Eric have the dumps. There have been some
changes in the C# code in the callback and I did not see these BSD's

Hi Eric,
The Xylo board is pretty neat. I have one that I use for trying out
new ideas for the HPSDR. The downside is that the schematics for the
board is not available and the source code for the FX2 firmware and
driver is not available either.
This is the connection from the FX2 to the FPGA

I wanted to try a quick and simple, yet effective logging program and
downloaded the N3FJP suite. All seems to work OK with the exception of CWL

When I click on CW_U the logging program correctly changes to CW. But when
changing to CW-L, the logger goes to SSB. I already sent an email to

I got the BSD with VAC disabled, VCOM not in use, etc. This is
something else that has crept into the effort. We will find it. If you
get a Blue Screen of Death, save the dump and when and IF requested,
Eric will get it from you.

Well, I know that Phil N8VB is working
with an Altera and from his previous post has a Xylo board. Phil VK6APH
has also purchased a Xylo board as have I. My knowledge is minimal however, the
board was inexpensive and it would appear that this kit and the sample and

I think I blew the ULN 2003 open collector chip out of my
radio during the Belize DXpedition by trying to connect a relay in an amplifier
directly into the radio on x2-7 without any buffering. Perhaps a spike or
surge. Dunno. But it brings back to mind a project I suggested to

E^2,
I'll give it a runthrough and see what should be on a little board to isolate
the big bad world from the delicate innards of the ULN 2003.
What I did for X2-7 was put a diode cross the relay coil in my Drake L-4 amp as
that coil puts out over 400 V on the back voltage. The coil is
