We really need to look at an the best way of doing this. Once the multiplayer code is changed we will probably be stuck with is for the next few years. Getting it right is fairly important. We shoud consider what we want in terms of features, flexibility and numbers and then find the most

[Flightgear-devel] Tail dragger trouble.

2005-06-19 Thread Mostyn Gale
I have been trying to make the JSB flight model for my PA-25 pawnee for over a week now, however, I can not get it to steer on the ground. Every time I start my take off roll the plane goes in circles. Has anybody encountered any similar problems? Cheers, Mostyn

Clifford, It can be done, however it is a rather long winded process. You need to get a program called pretty polly editor (PPE). Open the *.mdl file in PPE and save it as a *.dxf file. Close the program. Re-open it load the *.dxf file and save it as a *.ac file. Then you need to use a

[Flightgear-devel] R22 alpha version

2005-06-05 Thread Mostyn Gale
Hey guys, I have put up an alpha version of my R22 on my website for all of those people that want to have a look at it. There are still quite a few things that need to be fixed up before I would call it finished. However, I'll get back to that after finishing some other stuff and when I have

[Flightgear-devel] Transparency

2005-05-24 Thread Mostyn Gale
I am trying to create an upper layer on a gauge which masks lower layers using transparency. I have looked at the data/aircraft/Instruments/fuel.xml file which appears to do this. However I can not figure out where the transparency comes from. Could someone point me in the right direction,

Hi Ben, It is good to hear that you are planing to contribute. I hope the AC-130 goes well. My thoughts are that the AC-130 is a bit of a large project to start of with. I am in a similar situation to you, just starting off in flightgear and the learning curve is pretty steep. Perhaps you

I have found the seed wiki documentation http://www.seedwiki.com/page.cfm?wikiid=2418doc=Flight%20Gear, would it be possible to use a wiki that is nicer as well as getting a more prominent link? i.e. on the main page. www.wikicities.com looks alright. Cheers, Mostyn

[Flightgear-devel] Wiki Documentation

Has anyone thought about having a wiki documentation system for FlightGear? One of the real weaknesses of flightgear is that there is little documentation. I am sure that if it were easy for the community to edit the documentation it would improve vastly. This could save so much of people's time
