Hi all,
First, now I have a new ADSL connection with a LOT faster speed, I have
revamped my server 'status' pages. This also contains the actual 'server
status' report too now, so the old URL will be retired soon.
Please let me know if it loads too slow to be unusable:
Hi,
Is there any info/data on FG frame rates with OSG vis-a-vis previous
plib versions running on comparable hardware?
Running with the 23 Apr release of OSG and the latest FG/SG software I'm
seeing frame rates around 22 fps. The same configuration at KSFO with
plib and the 0.9.10 release
I was very interested to see this come into cvs. With it, it should be
possible to implement proper look-ahead terrain-following algorithms.
If anyone's interested, I gave a lot of thought to this topic and there are a
number of options that provide varying pros cons e.g. processing/sampling
Hi,
Hmm... maybe it's too late and I'm too tired. Did I
understand right? So maybe it would be possible to

Yep -that's exactly the sort of thing I was referring to. The Panavia Tornado
uses a lookahead radar to evaluate the terrain and build an elevation
profile, upon which it overlays a ski-toe curve flight envelope. The terrain
avoidance system ensures the flight envelope avoids the terrain by
