I still see a problem with altimeters and pressures.
Sitting at KHIF (4789 ft) with a metar that reads:
KHIF 230355Z 09006KT 10SM CLR 14/04 A3032 RMK AO2A DZE0300 SLP227 P
T01380036 $
I set my altimeter to 30.32. The altimeter reads 4666 ft, or about 120
feet too low.

Maybe a bit of a tangent question about the sound but..
The scenario in mind for xmas is a couple of new proper PC's

house are concerting. In the meantime there can be some ATC presence

I'd prefer not to hear cockpit sounds from exterior views myself , so it
would be nice if there was a way to enable/disable them .
Would be nice too, if engine volumes would really go to 0 from exterior
views .

Here it is!!
At procedure void FGEnvironment::set_elevation_ft (double e)
change :
_recalc_alt_dewpoint();
_recalc_alt_pt();
to :
_recalc_alt_pt();
_recalc_alt_dewpoint();
It corrects all.

I'm sure we'll manage to arrange a couple of read-only GIT servers for
use by Joe Average. A round-robin DNS will do the rest. In consequ

Hi Stefan,
that's a fantastic offer!
The jury is still out on the choice of DVCS, but I hope we finalize it soon
and we can put your server (and plenty of bandwidth!) to good use.
Thanks

Hi
Just to dig up the old discussion. That was about this site:

Which is "copyrighted" by http://www.FlightProSim.com and uses the same layout

Good idea's John, I'll try to think about it when going further. It
might need adjustment after the first commit but I'll try to make it easy.

I've been alerted to this web site:

We all know by now that under certain conditions one can sell open source
software packages such as FlightGear. However, it seems to me that this web
site is problematic in several ways,
- copyrighted screen captures may be used

Hello all...
With all the talk about FG audio here recently, it reminded me that I haven't
yet gotten around to something I've wanted to do for some time--record some new
audio files. I have access to a Piper Aztec, a light twin-engined aircraft.
It's engines are six-cylinder Lycoming IO-540's

I decided to contribute my joystick definion to this project because this stick

While reworking the sound system I started to wonder about the ATC
chatter and such (like beacons and morse code).
Should these be tied to the main aircraft (and hence fade away when the
aircraft gets further away) or should these be audible no matter what?

points to the loopback interface, then the setup is wrong. If this is
