This is ***way*** of topic, but this method of requesting help has to be a cultural thing and I suspect intent and intonation and some subtleties have been lost in translation. I've seen more than a few very well meaning emails that end with an command that I drop everything else and immediate help the sender, but that request is usually so out of place compared to the tone of the rest of the message that it couldn't have possibly been meant that way. Native english speakers taking a command for immediate help at face value see it as somewhat of a slap in the face, but I've tried to train myself to look past that. Hehe, if this had been translated straight from Russian, then it probably would be a an actual command and the original intonation would have been authoritative. I don't think they have a word for please. :-) But again, there's some cultural differences there to factor in. The name Iswarya Damodharan is most likey Indian as Iswarya is a Hindu name. I could be wrong - could be Pakistan or many other countries as well. I flubbed my way through several foreign languages and have read many English letters translated by dictionary or textbook. Please remember the vast differences between languages, just like cultures. Some have no words for simple things we take for granted like thank you and some languages are downright rude compared to English standards. Either way, most of the meanings are lost in the translation - polite or otherwise. I would hope we do not nit pick our non-English speaking friends. English is the national language of India, just that, I guess, older people being forced to use the Internet have not been able to let go of how they were taught to write English letters in grammer school.
