about twenty years ago when i had a wood burning stove i tore and burned
about a hundred paintings on paper. it was a great cleansing and i
really had to stop myself or i would have burned everything. i have
never missed what was tossed on the fire. i no longer heat with wood and
we are forbidden
it seems there is a sudden explosion of spring cleaning going on. yes,
my studio is full of physical artworks which may or may not ever be
sold. and then there are all the little drawings and stuff that are part
of the work but are never sold and all the dozens of note books filled
with thoughts
i have been working on something for days in my studio and it turned out
to be nothing.
