Dear all,
I am using fop 0.20.4 together with some bundled
packages like: xalan, xerces, batik, avalon and etc.
All these are download together with fop.
However, all we find the bundled packages are in
binary jar files. Where should I find the source of
them for our project source control?

hi,
I have been unable to run FOP on Weblogic.
It keeps throwing a AbstractMethodError when I try to transform the XSL
and XML FO into a PDF using FOP.
I am using jdk1.3.0 and Weblogic 6.0 and fop-0.20.5rc2.
The classpath used while starting Weblogic is:

Hi *,
We want to list some items on an invoice using a table. It is possible, that
not all items fit into a single page. So we allow following pages, but then
we have to print a carry over at the end and the beginning of each page. The
computation is not the problem, we do this by adding
The solution I use is to set the image size 3 time less than the real size.
It works fine.

Dan,
I've done a few projects with some high resolution images included in
the final PDF that FOP generates with XML and XSL. Some of these have
been 300 dpi or greater, and look great. FOP seemed to handle them fine
as long as you specify the length of the image block and the image. You

Converting PCL to XSL-FO doesn't make a lot of sense (and is impossible
to do well). Same for PDF--XSL-FO and PostScript--XSL-FO. If you
wanted PCL--SVG, PDF--SVG, PostScript--SVG, then it would make more
sense because the formats are more alike in what they try to accomplish.
PCL, for example,
You mean you have done layouts that generate PCL5 files? For what
formatter? To convert them for XSL-FO you'd have to know the old format
and find a way to convert them to XSL stylesheets (not XSL-FO files but
XSLT files that generate XSL-FO). A requirement would be XML files as
input. You have to
Hi @ all!
Is there any possibility to drive a string in a fo:block into justification?

No, it doesn't make sense to feed these documents through FOP. There are
lots of tools to convert Office docs to PDF (Adobe PDFWriter,
ActivePDF, even GhostScript etc. etc.). FOP is not suited for that.

Thanks. We have many options from the commercial software houses. I wanted a
free one and thought I could use the component I had already written for xml
to fop.
