Hi James I think your combined requirement for (i) graphics outside the column and (ii) a caption is problematic, for the reasons that you mention. I would consider dispensing with the caption altogether, as the graphic presumably illustrates precisely what is in the step and is somewhat

Hi Cynthia, You are not doing anything wrong. We had the same problem. The reason that the links do not work is that they still point to the original location and not to the place where the text insets are. To make the links work, you have to reset each xref to the new location. I know that
