Oh for goodness sakes - the only reason I post on a mailing list about
FrameMaker is because I have to use it every day to get my
FrameMaker 11 and 12 have RoboHelp's core feature set built in, so
they can generate HTML web help and EPUB without any additional
software.
You can avoid the IE security message for local HTML files by using
the Add Mark of the Web option:

I've started copying text (only) to notepad, copying that, and pasting it into
Frame. Shows-up as our basic text style.

You can Paste Special to get plain text or you can use that old trick to
rearrange the order of ClipboardPriorities= in the maker.ini to put TEXT at the
beginning of the list, so that a plain paste acts like a text paste.

If you edit you maker.ini file you can change the order that Framemaker uses
to paste text. If you move TEXT to the first entry then plain text is what
you will get when you copy and paste into Frame. Here is a website that
explains how.

back in the day when he was starting Mif2Go. I benefited from that program
and his expertise many times, but more importantly, by his goodness and honesty.

What I like to do is save the Word file as Plain Text from Word 2013 ... this
is one of the options within Word to output file formats.
This makes every paragraph in the Word document stay as a single line in the
text file.
When I read this text file into FrameMaker, the single line converts
Adobe Technical Communications Suite 5 includes FrameMaker 12,
RoboHelp 11, Acrobat XI, and Captivate 7. Also Presenter 9, but most
people require PowerPoint so that's not adding much value. You can get
a 30-day free trial to check it out.
Do not import your FrameMaker book(s) into RoboHelp. Link
