The only upgrade option is from FM2017 ($400), so it would cost you
$1000 for the full license or $30 a month for the subscription.

I'd be curious to hear what the upgrade price is from FM12, if there is
one. Anyone know, without me having to make a call?

Colored icons are back! I know that makes ME happy. Now the question is
whether I want to pay for the TCS update. Really I only use FM and Acrobat,
but it is literally cheaper to get the suite than it is to pay for the
individual upgrades (which is why I purchased the suite to begin with).
On Wed,
It was released today. So was TCS 2019.

My company purchase TC 2017 a little over a year ago, and 44 days after the
purchase, I remember the number because Adobe fussed a little, an upgrade came
out. After pushing Adobe, they gave it to me no charge.
I would guess you will have no problem getting the latest version.

In the past, they have provided free updates to customers who purchased the
older version within some time frame (30 to 90 days) of the new release. But
like a lot of things, you only got it if you asked for it.

I cannot speak for Adobe on this, BUT... I *believe* that X number of

Hopefully someone official will chime in on that for you. Adobe won't tell

Hi,
Here is the link to the buying guide:

There is a banner in the middle of the page which says:

Caroline, consider purchasing the very inexpensive TableCleaner

formatting on tables and applying the defined table styles. It won't
help with shading, but it will certainly make it far easier to

Yes, the different page layouts are usually applied by hand, although there
is a way to use the mapping tables on reference pages to apply them based
on a paragraph tag. It has to be one that applies only on that page,

Try converting the Word doc to RTF format first. That has always worked better
with paragraph and character tag conversions to Frame. It also tends to bring

thanks for the answers.
I spent a couple of months using this Word template and understanding it.
When I converted to FrameMaker I took some time to map the styles and then
create a preset file. I mapped tables, characters and paragraphs. This all
worked beautifully. (Frame 2017)

A few more details would help. :)
1. There's no fast way to replace images copied into a file with images
imported by reference. It's pretty much an image by image deal.
2. Fixing them how?

a tag to fix that it

Hi CarolineYes, you can do it; it is the only sensible setting for a character
tag which may be applied to a variety of different fonts.
I'm working from memory here, so the exact names may vary slightly.

The conversion went very well, however, the user guide I received has many
