compare the content of a text inset? I'm pretty sure the answer is no but I
can't find anything to confirm that.

True but when you're using them for automation, it really doesn't matter. It's
only when you're the one doing all that keystroking that it's a pain. Which is
why I want to automate this (and other) processes.

We've had this problem in Frame 10 in docs that have tables with conditional
text. The problem occurs when the all the text in the cell (including the
end-of-flow symbol) is conditionalized. FrameMaker can't hide the end-of-flow
symbol since that would technically leave an empty cell.

I need to create a hypertext marker for Open Document Fit to Page. The
problem occurs when I enter the path for the document in the marker window. The
characters \D are replaced by a double dagger and \F are replaced by the florin
symbol.
I've looked at Adobe's documentation on hypertext
I tried that, Brad, but it then had 2 backslashes in the path, not 1.

No, 8200 doesn't work.
The weird thing is that the punctuation space appears in both the Character
Palette and Hex Input and I can use \2008 in a variable. There just doesn't
seem to be a way to create it from the keyboard. Strange.

Here's what I've done with all the pods.
Open the pod.
Drag it away from its current location so it becomes a free-floating pod.
Resize it.
Drag it into my dock.
Now when I access it, it opens from the dock at the size I set.
After I did this with all the pods, I saved my workspace so they
quickly convert (or map)
the text list to variable definitions.
