Hi Klaus, this is very generous of you and I can fully appreciate the
time and effort required. I've been amazed (and a little jealous) of
all the time you have had to play around with ExtendScript. Thanks for
your willingness to share.

Hi Roger,
If you decide to investigate, you might consider taking a look at any
plugins you have installed. A single line of missing code from a
third-party developer can cause memory to hemorrhage. Lord knows I've

Unlike our other plugins, this one is not structure-oriented and can be
used on any FM 7, 8, or 9 file.

There is unlimited potential to do cool things if you have the will. And, you
don't necessarily need DITA or a CMS to make amazing things happen, but you may
find that one and/or the other turns out to be the best solution.

Valerie,
I have used lots of structured TOCs before, so I'd like to try to help.
However, I'm having a little trouble understanding your question, because based
on your description, your outcome seems correct to me. You said you ended up
with this:

mechanism (the structured
application) to get the XML imported and properly formatted. For a short
document, an expert might be able to pull this off in a few days, but if you've
never done it before, the learning curve can last into the weeks or months.

Rick,
The only way I've ever done it is to use the generic click notification, then
test the active document to see if it is the Structure View. The test I use
looks for Structure View in the title bar, which I know isn't completely
reliable in all instances. Something like this, inside of
a lone writer and I
depend heavily on structured Frame. Were I to use unstructured Frame, I would
simply not be able to get my job done. It's all about how quickly I can get
content on the page and how effectively I can use various single-sourcing
techniques that make my workload possible.
Russ
wouldn't know how to put that in a

I don't know what the real answer might be, but I'm confident that this

serious contender in the XML space.
