Hi Dan, Actually, FrameMaker has nothing to do with the conversion of URLs to links; it is done by Acrobat. It can be disabled in Acrobat's Preferences dialog box under the General pane (uncheck Create links from URLs). The best approach is to add Hypertext markers and character formatting to

The hyperlinks you are seeing in the PDF may not actually be there, and they probably did not come from FrameMaker! For several years, now, Acrobat has had the feature of inferring hyperlinks from text strings that look like URLs. But the feature is a little dumb in just the ways you describe
