Hi all
Thanks for all the support on importing tables from Word. In the end I went
through the process convert to text, import and then convert back to table.
There were a few frustrations of FrameMaker assuming the first line was a
heading line and I still haven't figured out how to switch
Hi everyone,
Still having issues with FrameMaker 9 (all patches) becoming unresponsive;
Panel actions don't work or panels don't show up at all, with only FrameMaker (
2 or 3 section of a book open) open. I noticed when that happens, if I have the
Paragraph Panel open, that a small white strip
The fact that IE appears to stop/start indicates that something is going on in
the background - try using your system monitoring tools to see what processes

Hi Karen,
I don't have an answer for your particular problem, but I can answer one
question: Yes, FrameMaker 9 is buggy. Remember Windows ME? FrameMaker 9 is

I was thinking along the lines of adding some kind of frame, marker on top
of tables (in existing documents).
This would provide a workaround for

I agree with Rick that FM9 is buggy, but I don't think the problem you describe
is caused by FM. This may sound strange, but your graphics card drivers can be
the cause of the problem. I suggest you open the Event Viewer and check if
there aren't any related system error messages.
Karen, I was having similar problems with my FM9, also Windows 7 Pro, less than
12 month old Dell 64bit machine, 8G RAM, and good graphics card for dual
monitors. I was also running Patternstream as a plugin to FM9. The problem was
that FM9 kept freezing and hanging, and other times would be
