Hey! Look at that! I noticed the different icons before but didn't
really wonder what that might mean.
Thank you so much!

Hi all!
Is there some way to tell if a page is autogenerated (such as a TOC)?
I'm working on (someone else's) a template now and I can't tell if the
TOC is autogenerated or manually generated.
Many thanks!

Fred is right, of course.
If you copy a TOC or other generated file to a directory for a different
document and then add it to the files for that book, it becomes a normal
FM file. It will contain all the same content, but will not change when
the book is updated.
One powerful way to use this

The file icons in the book window are different for auto-generated
files. If the doc icons are all the same, then none of them are
generated.

If the section title is already a variable, why wouldn't you just use
that? Propogate that variable to all the files, Insert it in the
topic's master pages in each page header, and be done with it...

Hi Art
That is a good point and I was wondering if there was a way to do something
at the book level (should have said that...my bad). The other suggestion was
to use the volnum variable and I think I'll give that a whirl to see if it
helps on the maintenance side of things.
Thanks for responding
Hi Fred
I'm grateful for the suggestion. That is exactly what I was looking for and
was going totally blank! That is the process I'll put in place and will
document in the template handbook I'm creating.
Thank you bunches and thanks to all who responded privately...
Have a great day and enjoy..
The Adobe FM Upgrade site probably still has the "What's New" files
for those versions online. Have you checked there yet?

Thanks to Art for prompting me to look at the Adobe website.
There were a couple of articles that mentioned CGM issues and a link to
the ITEDO site to download the latest filters.
The filter consists of 4 files (isoconverter.dll, optcgm.prf,
optdxf.prf, optigs.prf) that are located in the \filter
