Sounds like your postscript printer doesn't know Symbol.   Try downloading and installing the free SetPrint (http://www.sundorne.com/FrameMaker/Freeware/setPrint.htm).   SetPrint allows you to configure two unique printers.   Set it up to use Adobe PDF while working in Frame and the physical
