I solved my own issue. I guess I never took the time to really research
it until now.
Under Preferences > Documents > Open Settings, uncheck the "Restore last
view settings when reopening documents."
Now it works properly.

I always set those properties, but they never seem to make any
difference. Is there some special way the document has to be saved?
The document always opens where it was opened the last time viewed.

To all,
We recently hired two contract writers and we are in the process of trying
to install FrameMaker 9.0 onto new computers. Part of this process involves
deactivating Frame on some other computers that are no longer being used. We
have noticed that on all of the computers the Deactivate optio
I deleted all graphics imported by reference into a document I'm editing,
but the doc is still looking for the files. If I can, do I want to and how
can I get rid of these obsolete references.

Yeah, I know, David, that I can export the Element Catalog, but the EDD
imported is commented and quite differently organized, so it becomes hard to
compare. I don't think it would be very hard work for FM developers to add a
routine into the source that would write in the name of the file the EDD
In Frame 7.2 you select File > Structure Tools > Export Element Catalog as EDD.
I believe in Frame 8 they moved this to a separate Structure menu off the main
menu bar.
In my EDD, I have an element that has an attribute with a text string that
contains information on the EDD version. I apply a

When you have been developing an EDD for various versions of a set of files
(book, volumes, etc.) you soon can end up with several EDD files in
different states of developement and soon you loose control of which EDD
file was imported into which document file.
Is there a way, in FM10, to find this
